I had the most distinct honor of interviewing Sheryl Sandberg for a private Facebook event called Gather. Gather was a 3-day virtual event where I experienced and learned of the very best that Facebook has to offer small business owners like myself. I, along with about 1000 other small business leaders, was provided with top of the line tools to help our businesses grow and survive this pandemic. I was chosen to interview Sheryl in the Fireside Chat segment of this event. I was able to ask her questions not only from a perspective of a person trying to navigate unfamiliar spaces but also as a business owner trying to use social media platforms to promote my business in the age of COVID. She was so generous with her responses. It didn't feel like just another business meeting but a conversation with someone who actually cares for the lived experiences. Her vulnerability and sincerity were touching. She gave us valuable insight into how we can be better leaders for our families, businesses, and communities.
